PROJECT : Honey Banner

My uncle needed a banner design about a honey business he's running. Tbh, I didn't know how to make a banner using photoshop. I don't know how to use photoshop in general. But, I have to say I've come up with a decent design for the banner.

He wanted 2 designs. One vertical and one horizontal to send it to the printing shop. He also said he want a picture of the 'tualang tree' and he is very pleassed with the design. He also said he needed more banner design soon and seem like i will be doing his design. :)

Expression : Wonderful Life

I wouldn't say this is my best sketch I've drawn  but definitely deep meaning in it. 

I also know that this sketch look really simple and messy. 

But that's not the point. 

I'm simply expression how grateful I'm feeling right now. 

I have a wonderful family, 

Well, my family is not perfect. 

I stay with my mom practically all my life. 

There are hell of ups and downs I've been through with my mom and I'm very very proud to have her as my mother.

I personally don't know how many times I've question myself, 

"What am I good at ?"

"Don't I have any talent in what I do?"

"What if the thing I choose now is not going to benefit me in the future?"

But then,

Overthinking kill your happiness.

I may have no talent in drawing, 

But I have passion in it. 

My drawing might not be as good as other artist out there, 

But practice makes a better person. :) 

I realize I do have something I did good on,

Expressing myself. 

P/S : There's no such thing as "practice makes perfect" because there's no one who is perfect in this whole wide world. But, practice do makes someone a better person than who they were the day before. :)

CONTEXTUAL : Movie is out

So,

Our movie screening went well,
although my group was in a panic mode
as we couldn't polish everything in time to watch our friend's movies.

Thank goodness we actually made it in time to screen our movie
and not delaying it to let other groups screen theirs first.


Surprisingly, the audience like Alice Myers quite a lot,
and said that Jamie's acting skills are not bad.

2D Design : Music Painting

I would like to call this class 'stress-free class.'

By far this class is the most relaxing class. We was told to paint on 50 cm x 60 cm and 60 cm x 90 cm   canvases. 

First Expression, 

Omg the canvases are huge. 

Once I started painting. I enjoyed it very much ! 

So, the deal was..... 

...............

No thinking, no planning. Just listen and paint. 

I was sitting outside facing the lake. The first session was a little bit messy in my opinion. There's a lot of songs that a mix up of a lot of genre except classical. Some song are way too loud and not my preferences and some suits me perfectly. 

The wind breeze flew to my face as I painted. The sun was glaring to my face but I don't feel hot. 

It was really calming. 

I came out with this. 

I started the painting with one of my favorite song. The middle part represent it. It was colourful and the colour just splash. Then the song changed to another song which was not my preference. I felt like my surrounding went horrible ! That's when all the mix colours come in. 

But if you look closely, my painting resemble a scenery with a splash colour in middle. 

I was trying to express how calm the atmosphere was and how I felt during that time before it the song changed. It was originally a nice scenery before the horrible songs came in and change my mood. My happiness was still there. In the middle. But im surrounded by dull colours represent how i felt about the changes. But the upper part is very bright. Represent hope. No matter how bad the situation is, or the day you're going through, the sun will still be there and the sky will still be blue. There's still hope as long as these 2 things is still there. :)

My 2nd is purely based on classical music. The first music was very calming and i used to play that song on piano long long time ago. As the song goes, it gets scarier and scarier. The colors get darker and darker and nothing i can do about it. Towards the end, the songs get happier again. And the colour change again to brighter colors. Same goes with the spirals. The spirals represent roses. From black roses, it slowly turn into brighter colors. For this abstract I purely goes with the music. I proudly say I sink in my own world of classical music and my hand move with the music. I'm proud of it. Infact, very proud. 

This was my first time painting on canvases and all I can say is I learnt a lot from this experience.

2D Design : Batik Trip

Batik design is a tradition design of cloth that use was as a guideline of the designs.

Malaysian popular batik motifs are flowers and
leaves. Batik is also known by their geometrical design such as spirals.

Miss Maslisa's assigned us to forms groups of 4. So me, kashwini, afiqah and mathuri formed a group together.

Miss Maslisa want a story behind the designs. We come up with these,

how the full batik design will look like after all of us assemble all the design.

After a long discusion, we decided to go for an underwater themes.

So, off we go to JADI batik in KL. 

We had a smooth start. Everything went smoothly and here are our designs. 

Kash couldn't join us that day so we only have 3 join designs during that time when we are suppose to have 4 designs. 

And here's mine. The middle one. It took 8 hours to dry so we left our designs there and went back to campus. They sent us the designs to our campus and we have to present it to Miss Maslisa. 

During the presentation, we took advantage of the lake. we hang our design on the mirrors there with the lake as our background and it work very very well. 

Its like our design in actually in the water. 

So we finished our official Miss Maslisa's class.

2D Design : MONOGRAMS

Miss Maslisa assigned us to another assignment which is the monograms. Monograms represents us. As for me I've decided to us L and V representing Lisa Viour. 

And we have to do it on our 6 items. I have to admit I've destroyed quite a lot of stuff during this process since im still new with spray painting. 

I drew almost 10 pages of monograms designs 

few of my designs 

After few consultation with miss maslisa, she told me she like this design of mine. Its very fragile and a little hard to work with but i made it through. 

Testing 1. Lord know many stuff was destroyed in this process.

CONTEXTUAL : Production Report 2.4

We're into the editing section of the movie!
All the scenes are fully filmed and down with,
now it's up to
Ailsa, Jamis and I to edit the scenes and complete everything before 19th of December!


Other than that, Mr Charles have reminded us to finish up our posters for promoting purposes.

It's designed and polished by Jamie using Photoshop and SAI.

we decided to put in ancient codes overlapping the brain to show the capability of a human's brain.
The background's a gun, if you're wondering.

It signifies that the more secrets you try to uncover,
the more a dangerous situation you're in.


At the end, it is merely up to you to decide whether you are brave enough to step out and embrace the risks and challenge the dangers of obtaining wisdom.
